The brief:

To tender for all indoor planting and 5th floor Atrium at Facebook’s new London office in Convent Garden.

Reasonable to sufficient!

The solution:

After many meetings with architects, contractors and an ever decreasing window of opportunity to complete the project within the required time before Facebook moved in – it was agreed.

We had chosen 75 year old Olive trees direct from Italy to install on the 5th Floor with near impossible challenges to actually get them in. They were slightly heavy! All planters were custom made that created an island seating area around the trees. Under planting was also used.

Reception areas were planted with specimens that could deal with very poor light levels and mainly artificial lighting.
On install day a crew of 5, a large truck, a lot of soil, many parking meters fed and approximately 16 hours of labour later – Facebook’s new offices were planted.
